Poland Has Good Chances Ahead

July 25th, 2016 — 1:59pm

This is definitely a good time for Poland as they have reached the knockout stages for the first time of a European Championship.

They finished in the second place in Group C as they beat their opposing team Ukraine. There were two chances early on that the team was unable to avail of but the effort they made towards the later stage of the game was fruitful. Their opponent team Ukraine has been already out of the game, but they did put in an effort which went wide. Jakub on the other hand, put in a shot with his left foot, which was done 54 minutes into the game. That helped to catapult their team into the next round of the championship. Now they would be facing Switzerland as they gear up to be part of the 16 teams. Their next match is on Saturday.

One of the key players, Bartosz Kapustka received a yellow card and hence, he would be missing the match that would be held at Saint-Etienne. If Poland had been able to get a win with a larger margin they would have made it ahead of Germany. Continue reading »

POLAND HOPE FOR GOOD SHOWING IN THIRD EURO CAMPAIGN

April 28th, 2016 — 2:41pm

The Polish national team is hoping for a decent showing in their third Euro campaign this summer in France. The team which had played in seven FIFA world cup were more than elated when they finally qualified for their first UEFA European championship in 2008. They got their second opportunity when they co-hosted with Ukraine four years later. After a hard-fought qualification round, the Polish squad would be embarking on their third Euro campaign this summer.

The Polish team had participated in 13 qualification rounds before their eventual qualification in 2008. The qualifying effort involved fending off attacks in encounters with bit names such as Portugal, Serbia and Belgium. After topping the qualifying group, the team failed to impress as they finished bottom of the group in the tournament jointly hosted by Austria and Switzerland.

In the next campaign four years later, the Polish team co-hosted the tournament with Ukraine but performed poorly again. Bialo-czerwoni didnat win any game in the tournament despite being host. Poland did not go beyond the group stage. It was a big disappointment for the host as fans and the world had anticipated for a much better showing. It was much different for the countryas first team when compared to the 1970s and 1980s when forwards like Grzegorz Lato and Zbigniew Boniek helped the country to reach four successive World Cup tournament even winning third place in West Germany 1974 and Spain 1982. A few weeks ago, rumors and reports began to spread around claiming that Ac.Milan was interested in re-signing ZlatanIbrahimovic but those transfer rumors vanished not too long ago when the Swedish forward said that he will continue performing with PSG as he still has at least one more year left his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and he wants to fulfill that contract for its entirety.

The Swedish attacker says he is enjoying life with PSG and he has every reason to be happy as the experienced player plays a huge role in Paris Saint-Germain and it seems like he will not be making a move away from the French club at least not from another year.

Ibrahimovic is out of the reach of Ac.Milan and SiniA?aMihajloviA will have to settle by signing another player or just by getting into the next season of the Serie A with the players that he already has at his disposal and so far, this pre-season has gone fairly well as Ac.Milan defeated Inter Milan.

On July 25, Ac.Milan played against Inter Milan at the Shenzhen City Stadium as they locked horns in the International Champions Cup and Ac.Milan came out on top with the victory. The final scoreboard displayed 1-0 and the only goal of the entire match was scored by Philippe Mexes. Continue reading »
