Niko Kovac impressed with professionalism of Bayern Munich duo

Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has been pleased with the performances of Robert Lewandowski and Jerome Boateng during the opening stages of the ongoing campaign. The duo were heavily tipped to part ways with the club during the backend of the summer transfer window but ultimately, they decided to stay put for different reasons.

Speaking in a news conference, Kovac hailed the impact of Lewandowski and Boateng since the season started and praised them as ‘great professionals’ on the playing field, he said: “[Boateng and Lewandowski] are great professionals, world-class players. They know what they have to do. That they play so well does not surprise me. That’s what I hoped for and expected.”

Poland ready for Portugal

Poland coach Jerzy Brzeczek said that his players are ready for the game against Portugal counting for the Nations League. He said that his players are motivated and want to win their first game since the 1-0 victory against Japan in the last World Cup.
