Lewandowski Loss Is Not A Detriment

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski has claimed that the loss of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is not significantly detrimental to the teamas chances of being successful once again. Dortmund have been one of the major surprises from German football in the last decade. Apart from beating Bayern Munich twice to the league title two years ago, they have also reached the Champions League final. Much of this success has been down towards the goalscoring exploits of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

The 25-year-old decided to end his spell at Dortmund, who signed him for around a 4 million in 2010, by joining Bayern Munich on a free transfer. However, he has allowed his former club to prepare for life without him by announcing his decision to join Bayern Munich several months ago. Despite transfer rumours surrounding their last remaining stars in the form of Marco Reus, Dortmund are confident that they can reclaim the league title from Bayern Munich. This is the opinion of winger Blaszczykowski, who was not a regular first-team player last season due to injury.

He made just nine appearances in all competitions and scored one goal. His return will be a major boost to Jurgen Klopp. Dortmund have signed strikers like Adrian Ramos and Ciro Immobile in order to replace Lewandowski.

“It’s normal in this business that some top players leave but Borussia still lives on because new good players arrive. Everyone decides for themselves what is right for him. Nuri Sahin, Shinji Kagawa, Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski now have left Dortmund but Borussia but still lives on, because every year good new players have come. We will be helping Adrian Ramos, Ciro Immobile, Matthias Ginter and Ji so that they can be integrated quickly and we find ourselves as a team,” said the 28-year-old winger.
